IN YOUR OWN WORDS, DESCRIBE WHAT HAPPENED

Was out star gazing in my back garden in carrowdore looking north and seen like a ball of light which stayed lit for only a couple of seconds then disappeared looking like it moved off at spectacular speed, the second sighting was north west moving south west again only visible for about 2/3 seconds before dissappearing, they where obviously quite far away but the second one looked like it was just over Newtownards direction and a good bit lower than the first, these were 100% not shootstars as I've seen them many times before also it was a very bright ball of light.

Investigator Comments

I'm not sure what that could be, except for perhaps a distant aircraft with landing lights on. Seeing an aircraft from a distance and at a steep angle, manoeuvring aircraft can appear to hover and suddenly turn or disappear when in fact it is approaching your general direction before turning. If anyone else has seen this or has footage of this, please get in touch, As for now, what may have been seen remains unexplained.
